The Bonita/Sunnyside Library & Museum consists of a 10,118 square-foot library structure and a 4,427 square-foot museum. The walls and multi-level roofs are supported by curved exposed glued laminated beams.

 

The library contains a main high bay reading room with clerestory windows and a fireplace, a children’s area, offices and a two-story storage area with a 35-foot-tall tower. Wood and steel trellises grace three of the four sides and provide a connecting element to the museum. The museum consists of high bay display rooms, offices, a store and a first aid station.
